What are the results of the alpine skiers representing Armenia?
Athletes representing Armenia continue their quest at the 25th Winter Olympic Games held in the Italian cities of Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan recorded a result of 1:21.67 minutes in the Giant Slalom event, ranking 59th among 81 participants. Twelve participants were unable to finish the race. This is Harutyunyan’s second time participating in the Winter Olympic Games. On February 16, he will compete in the Slalom event.
Cross-country skier Mikayel Mikayelyan took 53rd place among 112 participants in the men’s 10 km freestyle event with a result of 23 minutes 06.4 seconds.
In the women’s 10 km interval start (freestyle) cross-country skiing event, Armenia’s representative Katya Galstyan, who is participating in the Winter Olympics for the fourth time, showed a result of 28 minutes 33 seconds, ranking 82nd among 111 participants.
The figure skating pair Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin will perform in the short program qualification round tomorrow, February 15. The free program qualification round will take place on February 16.
Armenia is represented at the Olympic Games by 5 athletes: cross-country skiers Mikayel Mikayelyan and Katya Galstyan, alpine skier Harutyun Harutyunyan, as well as figure skaters Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin.
