Operations of “Karas” food service outlet in Yerevan suspended

The production activities of the “Karas” food service outlet located at 19 Tumanyan Street in Yerevan have been suspended following an inspection by the Food Safety Inspection Body.

During an inspection conducted by inspectors from Yerevan’s center at the facility belonging to “AMTJ” LLC, it was revealed that the requirements of sanitary rules and hygienic norms had been violated.

The following violations were discovered: damaged sections on the ceiling, which facilitated the accumulation of dirt, condensation of steam, and the growth of mold; damage to certain parts of the kitchen floor; the poor condition of the artificial ventilation system, which failed to prevent the penetration of contaminated air; a lack of insect screens on windows and back entrance doors; the back entrance and kitchen doors were not coated with non-absorbent, cleanable materials; and the refrigerators were not in a well-maintained state.

By the decision of the Head of the Food Safety Inspection Body, the production activities of “Karas” have been suspended, and a deadline has been set for the outlet to eliminate the identified violations.
