Narek Mkrtchyan Becomes European U20 Weightlifting Champion
In the 81 kg weight category, Narek Mkrtchyan, a member of Armenia’s junior weightlifting team, has won the gold medal at the European U20 Championships. He achieved a total of 341 kg (150 kg snatch + 191 kg clean and jerk), surpassing all other competitors.
In the snatch, Mkrtchyan successfully lifted 150 kg on all three attempts, earning a small bronze medal. In the clean and jerk, he also succeeded in all attempts, lifting 191 kg and securing a small gold medal.
The European U20 Weightlifting Championships took place in Poland.
