
More than 1 billion drams have been spent on the Margara customs checkpoint
In December 2023, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Margara customs checkpoint is ready for operation. An agreement was reached between Armenia and Turkey that the Margara customs checkpoint will operate for citizens of third countries and holders of diplomatic passports.
The Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Rustam Badasyan, addressed the issue of the Margara customs checkpoint in the National Assembly. He stated that more than 1 billion drams have been spent on the renovation of the Margara crossing point on the Armenian-Turkish border.
Rustam Badasyan mentioned that they had planned to spend 800 million drams, but the final expenditures amounted to slightly more than 1 billion drams.
