Berd Military Hospital to be liquidated
The RA Government has decided to terminate the activities of the “Berd Military Hospital” state institution of the Ministry of Defense. In its place, the “Berd Medical Center” Closed Joint-Stock Company (CJSC) will operate.
The decision will enter into force ten days after its official publication.
According to the Government’s decision, the liquidation process of the military hospital must be completed within two months.
The newly established medical center is intended to be integrated into the medical support system of the armed forces. According to the justification, the objective of the change is to increase the efficiency and accessibility of medical services for servicemen, persons of equivalent status, and their family members.
The Ministry of Defense attributes the change to the policy of forming an integrated healthcare system in the country.
