100-year-old citizens to receive financial support
The Government approved a project according to which all citizens who have reached the age of 100 will receive a one-time support of 1 million AMD.
At the Cabinet meeting held on February 5, following the proposal of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the support will be provided to all citizens, regardless of their place of residence.
As a reminder, previously only 100-year-old citizens registered in Yerevan received such support; however, the payment will now be possible for all pensioners and benefit recipients who have reached 100 years of age, along with the following month’s pension or benefit. At the same time, citizens who have already received the money will not receive it again.
According to the Government’s assessment, there will be 71 beneficiaries of the program in 2026, and the required 42 million AMD will be allocated from the funds intended for the social protection sector.
