The film tells the story of Annie (Anora), who is married to Ivan Zakharov, the son of a Russian oligarch. Upon learning of the situation, the groom’s parents travel to New York to resolve everything.
Directed by Sean Baker, the film stars Armenian actors Vache Tovmasyan (as Garnik) and Karen Karagulyan (as Toros). Anora won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival and is also a top contender for the upcoming Oscars.
