Museum Revenues Surpass 30 Million AMD Following Display of Anahit Statue
Following the exhibition “Mother Goddess: From Anahit to Mariam,” Armenia’s History Museum saw revenues exceed 30 million AMD. This announcement was made by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, Zhanna Andreasyan, during preliminary discussions on the 2025 state budget.
The minister added that visitor numbers were even higher, as admission was free for children under 12.
Andreasyan believes that similar collaborative formats will be instrumental in making Armenia’s museums more appealing.
On September 21, Armenia’s History Museum hosted the opening of the international exhibition “Mother Goddess: From Anahit to Mariam.” For the first time in Armenia, the exhibition features the renowned bronze head and hand of the goddess Anahit, preserved at the esteemed British Museum.
