The Number of Official Vehicles Will Reach a Minimum: Pashinyan
By the government’s decision, 423 vehicles will be taken from 52 state bodies and will be transferred to the State Property Management Committee. At the same time, it is planned to complete the handover-acceptance process within 4 months after the decision comes into effect. The confiscated vehicles will be relocated to the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district of Yerevan. Most of them will be sold.
We will accept the vehicles for storage. Some of them, which are newer, will replace the older vehicles in the state system. But the majority will definitely be sold through auction. This year, an electronic auction system has also been introduced. Through this system, citizens can participate in the auctions and acquire the vehicles, as well as other movable and immovable property, – said Arnak Avetisyan, Head of the State Property Management Committee of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure.
Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure David Khudatyan added that similar processes are also ongoing in the communities. It is planned to reduce the number of community vehicles by 50 percent or more.
It should be noted that just yesterday, the Prime Minister announced that 70-90 percent of official vehicles will be reduced.
