Armenia exported 74 thousand cars to Russia over four years
From January 1, 2022, to January 31, 2026, 1.56 million used passenger cars were imported into Russia. Sergey Tselikov, Director of the Russian “Autostat” agency, reports that 74 thousand cars were imported from Armenia. With this figure, Armenia has ranked among the top five exporters.
Imports from Armenia primarily increased in 2023 due to a high flow of used cars; however, currently, almost no imports are being carried out in this direction.
Japan (841 thousand), South Korea (207 thousand), and Belarus (143 thousand) supplied more used cars to Russia. China has also rapidly increased its share in this direction in recent years.
Georgia is also a small but stable supplier to Russia; over the past 4 years, Russia has imported 58 thousand cars from Georgia, the majority of which came from North America in 2025.
