Production of two products under “DG” brand suspended
As a result of supervisory measures carried out in the meat production facility belonging to the “Babik-90” production cooperative operating in Yerevan, the production of two products under the “DG” brand has been suspended.
Inspectors from the Yerevan Center of the Food Safety Inspection Body, during inspections conducted at the facility, submitted samples of available products for laboratory testing. The examination results revealed that in the sample of “Chicken Kiev Cutlets, frozen minced meat semi-finished products,” produced on January 20, 2026, the indicator for “pathogenic microorganisms, including Salmonella” did not comply with the requirements of the Customs Union’s technical regulations.
At the same time, in the sample of “Moskovyan (Moscow) Sausage,” semi-smoked, chilled meat product, produced on January 20, 2026, a non-compliance of the “sodium nitrite recalculated as NaNO2” indicator with the established norms was recorded.
Consequently, the production of these two specific products at the meat facility has been suspended.
The director of the “Babik-90” production cooperative has been issued an instruction to prohibit the sale of the given batch, recall it from the market, and destroy or utilize it. A specific deadline has been set to eliminate the discovered violations.
