Operation of another branch of the “Karas” public catering chain suspended
Inspectors from the Food Safety Department of the Food Safety Inspection Body conducted an inspection at the “Karas” public catering facility located on Garegin Nzhdeh Street, owned by “AMTJ” LLC, and recorded violations of sanitary and hygienic requirements.
According to the Inspection Body, part of the walls of the food establishment did not have a smooth surface and was not made of waterproof, non-absorbent materials. Parts of the ceilings were not constructed in a way that prevents or reduces the accumulation of dirt, condensation of steam, and the possibility of particles falling.
In addition, part of the working surfaces in direct contact with food were in disrepair, had not been properly disinfected and cleaned, and were not made of smooth, cleanable, and non-corrosive materials.
By the decision of the Head of the Inspection Body, the production activities of the “Karas” public catering facility have been suspended. A corresponding timeframe has been established to eliminate the violations.
