House arrest of blogger Armen Aleksanyan lifted
The house arrest imposed on blogger Armen Aleksanyan has been lifted. Administrative supervision will be applied to him instead.
Armen Aleksanyan had been under house arrest since November 26, 2025. The court took into account the fact that Aleksanyan has an ill father and minor children in need of care. The family is in a difficult socio-economic situation and, in essence, has been left without a breadwinner.
A video published on the TikTok social network, where he is seen cooking an omelet, was presented as evidence against Armen Aleksanyan. It is noted that in that video, he had mocked Nikol Pashinyan’s omelet cooking.
It should be noted that 18 individuals, including Bagrat Srbazan, have been charged in the case of the “Sacred Struggle” movement. According to the Investigative Committee of the RA, the members and leaders of the “Sacred Struggle” movement had planned to carry out terrorist acts and attempted to seize power.
