MoD official charged
As a result of operative-investigative measures carried out by the Anti-Corruption Committee, a corruption case involving a territorial military commissariat of the Ministry of Defense of the RA has been uncovered.
According to the preliminary investigation data, the head of the administrative-economic group, abusing his official position, received 560,000 AMD through a close associate from the parents of persons called up for training camps as illegal remuneration and demanded 765,140 AMD to exempt the latter from the training camps.
The official has been charged under Article 438, Part 2, Clauses 2 and 3 of the Criminal Code of the RA, and detention has been selected as a preventive measure against him.
Within the same proceedings, public criminal prosecutions have been initiated against the individuals who evaded the training camps and their parents, who gave illegal sums through an intermediary to the official for the benefit of their sons.
