Charges for extortion and extraction of false testimony
The Investigative Committee has examined the criminal proceedings initiated regarding a case of demanding illegal benefits on a large scale from a citizen by G.M., an individual holding the highest status in the criminal hierarchy.
During the preliminary investigation, it was established that G.M. demanded an amount of 250,000 USD from the citizen.
Simultaneously, it was revealed that S.H., who also holds the highest status in the criminal hierarchy, acting in a group by prior agreement with his friend A.H., attempted to interfere in the investigation of another criminal case. Specifically, through psychological pressure, they compelled R.G.—who had sustained severe bodily injuries during an altercation on September 20, 2025, and was receiving treatment at a medical center—to provide false testimony.
According to the preliminary investigation data, S.H. and A.H. demanded that R.G. not disclose the true circumstances of the incident and the identities of the participants to the body conducting the preliminary investigation. Furthermore, it was proposed that he provide fabricated information and state that the individuals specified by them had no connection to the altercation, with the aim of misleading the investigation.
Within the framework of the criminal proceedings, public criminal prosecution has been initiated against G.M. and S.H. Detention has been selected as a preventive measure against them.
