Inspector of a “Electric Networks of Armenia” Branch Suspected of Large-Scale Fraud
The Investigative Committee (IC) reports that public criminal prosecution has been initiated against G.Kh., an inspector of a branch of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA).
The preliminary investigation revealed that from June 2024 to September 2025, he falsified the meter readings for devices used to power street lighting in several streets under his supervision, presenting higher figures instead of the actual electricity consumption.
According to the IC, this method caused damage to the municipality amounting to 1 million 102 thousand 288 drams.
G.Kh. has been charged with large-scale fraud under Article 255, Part 2, Point 3 of the Criminal Code (CC).
The inspector has been arrested, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
