New Appointments in Law Enforcement Agencies

President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed decrees regarding new appointments in law enforcement agencies. The main appointments have taken place within various branches of the armed forces and subdivisions of the Ministry of Defense.

Gagik Poghosyan has been relieved of his duties as Deputy Commander of the Special Army Corps and appointed as the Commander of the 5th Army Corps.

Albert Baghdasaryan has been relieved of his position as First Deputy Chief of the Operational Main Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces and appointed as the Head of the National Research University under the Ministry of Defense.

Alexander Tsakanyan has been appointed to the latter’s former position. The latter previously served as the Commander of the 3rd Army Corps. Simon Nazaryan has been appointed to that position.

Levon Davtyan has been appointed as the Commander of the Special Forces, having been relieved of his duties as Deputy Chief of the Intelligence Main Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

As stated in the decrees, the decisions were made upon the proposal of Nikol Pashinyan.
