The Prosecutor General’s Office demands confiscation from Aghvan Hovsepyan

The Prosecutor General’s Office has filed a request with the court to confiscate 29 real estate properties, shares in 8 legal entities, and 2 billion 551 million 100 thousand AMD from Aghvan Hovsepyan.

Former Prosecutor General of Armenia and former chairman of the Investigative Committee, Aghvan Hovsepyan, was arrested in 2021. He is accused of receiving a particularly large amount of bribes and committing embezzlement. He is also charged with laundering property worth 1 billion 299 million AMD obtained through illegal means.

On August 15, 2022, Aghvan Hovsepyan’s preventive measure was changed to bail.
