
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Summarizes 2024 Diplomatic Activities
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has provided a summary of its 2024 diplomatic activities, highlighting that the country continued to expand diplomatic relations and broaden its international presence.
The ministry established diplomatic relations with Palestine.
On September 27, in New York, Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan and Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh signed a joint communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the State of Palestine, with Armenia recognizing the State of Palestine.
Armenia also established diplomatic representations in several countries. A resident embassy was opened in Uruguay, and diplomatic offices were established in Luxembourg and Serbia.
Additionally, decisions were made to open resident embassies in Cyprus and Hungary. In 2024, the resident embassy of Cyprus was opened in Yerevan.
