In Vagharshapat, “Civil Contract” Will Form a Single-Party Majority

Following the local elections in the consolidated community of Vagharshapat, each political force received council seats according to the votes they won. The “Civil Contract” party gained enough seats to form a single-party majority in the community. This information was reported by the Central Election Commission.

Out of 33 council seats, “Civil Contract” won 19, the “Victory” bloc won 12, and “Mother Armenia” won 2.

This result means that “Civil Contract” can independently elect the community mayor without needing to form a coalition with any other party.

It should be noted that the elections in the consolidated Vagharshapat community (Echmiadzin, Khoy, Voskehat) were held on November 16. Out of 69,866 registered voters, 31,527 participated, representing 45.12%. Six monitoring organizations observed the election process.
