A Rally in Georgia Ahead of Parliamentary Elections
Parliamentary elections in Georgia will take place on October 26. A rally demanding the country’s accession to the European Union has started, organized by pro-Western forces.
In May, the Georgian parliament bypassed President Salome Zurabishvili’s veto on the “Foreign Influence Transparency” law with 84 votes in favor.
Following this decision, Brussels froze Georgia’s process of joining the EU.
President Salome Zurabishvili also participated in the rally. The 72-year-old president is confident that “Georgia has already won and will reunite with Europe.”
