Armenia does not consider the ‘3+3’ format meetings as a platform for signing a peace agreement. Ararat Mirzoyan
On October 23, during the Q&A session in the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan addressed the ‘3+3’ format meetings. He stated that Armenia values its relations with its neighbors and aims to develop them.
Mirzoyan also touched upon the suggestion of using the ‘3+3’ format meetings as a platform for signing a peace agreement.
That suggestion, for the most part, is not even on the table, and if it were, we would not find it appropriate to respond positively to it, as we have a bilateral negotiation format with Azerbaijan. This format covers all areas, including border delimitation, peace agreement, and the normalization of relations, said Mirzoyan.
During the last meeting, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan once again discussed the text of the peace agreement. Mirzoyan stated that despite the non-constructive rhetoric coming from Baku, Armenia continues to consistently work towards normalizing relations.
In his speech, Armenia’s Foreign Minister also addressed Armenia-Turkey relations. According to Mirzoyan, positive developments have been recorded in Armenian-Turkish relations, particularly concerning the use of airspace. Although the preliminary agreements regarding the opening of the border have not yet been implemented, work in this direction continues.
