Srbuhi Galyan Appointed as Minister of Justice

By the decree of the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, Srbuhi Galyan has been appointed as the Minister of Justice. Nikol Pashinyan has met with the newly appointed minister and the former minister. This information is provided by the government’s press service.

Pashinyan expressed gratitude to Grigor Minasyan for his work as Minister of Justice and noted that significant reforms have been carried out in this area. He also addressed the legal support provided by the Ministry of Justice in the process of border delimitation between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He also congratulated the newly appointed Minister of Justice. In turn, the new minister promised to spare no effort or enthusiasm in strengthening the institutional foundations of the fight against corruption, ensuring the continuity of judicial reforms, and providing proper legal support for all processes stemming from the Government’s program.

The position of Minister of Justice had been vacant for about a month. Grigor Minasyan had resigned amid a petition within the Civil Contract party that aimed to discuss the appropriateness of his tenure.
