
In Georgia, 43 people have been arrested
On November 29, Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that around 43 people were arrested for disobeying police orders and committing minor hooliganism. It was also noted that 32 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were injured as a result.
Since the parliamentary elections on October 26, the opposition in Georgia has been organizing protests alongside President Salome Zourabichvili, rejecting the election results.
President Zourabichvili declared the elections unconstitutional. Members of parliament from the three parties that crossed the electoral threshold decided to relinquish their mandates. Protests are ongoing.
A red security regime has been declared in Georgia. It is prohibiting anyone from entering the parliament without the permission of the parliamentary staff director.
