Yerevan Will Be Equipped with New Buses
On the eve of fully introducing the unified ticketing system in public transport, the Yerevan Municipality is renewing the public transport fleet.
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced on his Facebook page about the acquisition of new buses and trolleybuses.
This year, we have purchased 171 new 8.6-meter buses and 15 new trolleybuses using community budget funds.
Starting from January 1, the unified ticketing system will also be introduced in Yerevan’s metro. Service with tokens will be discontinued by the end of this month.
According to the municipality, the sectoral reforms are aimed at creating a safe, accessible, and comfortable transport system. Meanwhile, the lines at the metro stations continue.
