Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan Participates in Berlin’s Climate and Security Conference
On October 8, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Vahan Kostanyan participated in a roundtable discussion in Berlin under the theme “The Impact of Climate Change on Crisis Management and Mediation.”
Addressing the process of Armenia-Azerbaijan relations normalization, the Deputy Minister reaffirmed Armenia’s readiness to sign the peace treaty as soon as possible.
The time to act is now. The message from Yerevan is clear. We are ready to take concrete steps, and we are confident that COP29 will be a great opportunity to bring the world together. We believe that the peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be signed before COP29.
Highlighting the importance of human rights, the Deputy Minister emphasized the involvement of civil society in the climate and security dialogue.
Regarding climate and security issues, it is essential to consider another layer that we have yet to touch upon. That is the human layer. Everything is political, but in the end, everything affects the individual.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister also addressed other regional issues, emphasizing the importance of a positive agenda in developing bilateral relations with neighboring countries.
