Snowfall in the Provinces of Armenia

As of 09:00 on December 10, it is snowing in the regions of Aragats, Chambarak, and Meghri, while sleet is observed in the Artik region. The information is reported by the Road Department.

There is dense fog on the Sevan–Hrazdan highway, with visibility at 30–50 meters. Fog is also present on the roads in the regions of Artik, Abovyan, Spitak, and Masis, as well as on the Vardenyats Pass, where visibility is 50–80 meters.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) informs Amnews.am that all interstate and republican roads of the Republic of Armenia (RA) are open. Road builders are carrying out cleaning and salt-and-sand treatment works.

Drivers are urged to exercise maximum caution, observe traffic rules, and drive only with winter tires.

Meanwhile, the Roads Department of Georgia reports that traffic through the Upper Lars checkpoint is currently restricted. The movement of heavy and oversized trucks, including vehicles with trailers and semi-trailers, has been temporarily banned on the Gudauri–Kobi section of the Mtskheta–Stepantsminda–Lars international highway. The checkpoint is open only for passenger transport.
