The Government Has Approved a Demographic Strategy Program Expected to Generate Approximately $44 Billion in Revenue for Armenia

The Armenian government has approved the demographic strategy for 2024-2040, with a total budget of $6.7 billion.

The draft will be sent to the parliament within the next three months.

Details regarding the vision, objectives, and specifics of the strategy program have already been shared.

The implementation of the strategy is divided into two phases: from the current period until 2030 and from 2030 to 2040, which is associated with anticipated changes in priorities. In the initial phase, the main priority will be to promote childbirth, and if successfully implemented, an additional 60,000 children could be born over 17 years.

As a result, over 17 years, with an investment of approximately 2.6 trillion drams (equivalent to about $6.7 billion), Armenia’s economy is expected to generate around $43.6 billion in revenue, according to Tigran Jrbashyan, one of the co-authors of the strategy.
