World football star Henrikh Mkhitaryan, tennis star Karen Khachanov, and Canadian-Armenian billionaire Noubar Afeyan have addressed the trials of Armenian prisoners held in Baku prisons on January 17 through social media.
Mkhitaryan, with his 2.6 million followers, and Khachanov, with over 317,000 followers, shared Vardanyan’s latest statement on their platforms, using the hashtags #FreeRubenVardanyan and #FreeArmenianPrisoners.
Afeyan took to X, urging readers to review the facts of the case. He expressed caution and stated that every effort would be made to promote a fair trial and prevent a grave injustice.
In support of the Armenian prisoners, a significant wave of solidarity has risen online regarding their trial. Numerous other public figures have expressed their support on various social platforms.
Earlier, it was reported that citizens are holding a protest in front of the UN office, demanding the release of Armenian captives held in Baku.
