The men’s team defeated the Germans at the World Chess Olympiad

The Armenian men’s team celebrated a victory over the Germans at the World Chess Olympiad, which is about to end in Hungary.

Thanks to the victory of Gabriel Sargsyan, our boys won with a score of 2.5:1.5. The other three grandmasters – Hayk Martirosyan, Shant Sargsyan and Karen Grigoryan – ended their matches with a draw.

After the 9th round, the Armenian team has 14 points and is in 9th place. Before the last 2 rounds, India is the leader with 17 points.
