Protest near the National Assembly: relatives of missing servicemen demand publication of the 44-day war report

Relatives of missing servicemen have gathered in front of the National Assembly (NA). They demand that the government allow them to review the report of the commission investigating the circumstances of the 44-day war. They note that they had sent an application regarding the same issue to NA Speaker Alen Simonyan on December 29, but have received no response.

One of the relatives recalled that during a regular protest on Baghramyan Avenue in June 2025, the Chairman of the Inquiry Committee, Andranik Kocharyan, met with them and promised to make the report public. Now, the relatives demand that this promise be fulfilled.

The protesters have decided to move toward the Presidential Residence, where they are requesting a meeting with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan. It should be noted that concurrently, U.S. Vice President James David Vance has arrived in Armenia. In parallel, a new gathering began near the Presidential Residence at 17:00, demanding the release of Armenian prisoners held in Baku.

A large number of police forces are concentrated near the National Assembly. Present at the scene are the Chief of the RA Police Kamo Tsutsulyan, Deputy Chief of Police Vardan Vardanyan, Deputy Chief of Police Karen Hakobyan, and the Commander of the Police Guard Hayk Babayan.
