Certain batches of NAN baby formula recalled

At the request of the FSAB (Food Safety Inspection Body), a recall of certain batches of NAN brand baby formula produced by Nestlé is being carried out in Armenia.

The reason for the recall is a potential risk of contamination with cereulide toxin, which can cause nausea, vomiting, and gastrointestinal pain. The presence of the toxin was discovered in vegetable oils.

Although no confirmed cases of illness resulting from the use of this product have been recorded in Armenia, the recall is being conducted as a precautionary measure.

A recall of the same batches is also being carried out in several European countries, including Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
