Pashinyan and Aliyev Meet in Kazan
A meeting between Pashinyan and Aliyev took place within the framework of the 16th BRICS Summit.
The foreign ministers and deputy prime ministers of the two countries also participated in the meeting. The parties discussed issues related to advancing the bilateral peace agenda.
Before the meeting, Pashinyan delivered a speech at the summit. He addressed the delimitation process, mentioning that 80-90 percent of the content in the draft agreement has been agreed upon, which addresses peace and the regulation of relations. It was proposed to Azerbaijan to sign this agreement.
At the beginning of October, during a meeting in Moscow, Pashinyan had proposed a bilateral meeting with Aliyev. He suggested reconciling the unresolved articles of the Peace Treaty and signing the agreement before COP-29.
