Armenia hopes to sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan within the next four weeks
Armenia hopes to sign the terms of a peace agreement with Azerbaijan within the next four weeks, President Vahagn Khachaturyan told “Reuters”.
Khachaturyan stated that Yerevan hopes to sign the 16 articles of the peace agreement with Azerbaijan before COP29, which Baku will host from November 11-22.
If it were only up to us, we would sign it right now—today. But we hope that sooner or later, we will reach that point.
Khachaturyan also mentioned that negotiations with Azerbaijan’s ally Turkey are progressing well, and discussions are underway to open the border between the two countries for third-country nationals and holders of diplomatic passports.
