The Prime Minister of Israel Held a Phone Conversation with the President of France
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had a phone conversation with French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the latter’s statement about imposing an arms embargo on Israel. In one of his interviews, Macron mentioned that arms supplies to Israel should be halted. During the 19th Francophonie Summit, he expressed concern over the events taking place in Gaza and Lebanon, stating that everything should be done to resolve the issue through political means.
In light of these developments, a phone call took place between the leaders of the two countries. According to Netanyahu’s office, the Prime Minister remarked that “imposing restrictions on Israel would only serve Iran and its allies.”
The two leaders agreed to continue the dialogue on the issue during the visit of France’s foreign minister to Israel on Monday.
