There will be no change in the water supply schedule

The Government has suspended the implementation of the new water supply schedule scheduled for May 1. This was stated by David Khudatyan, the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, in a Facebook post.

According to the Minister, the schedule published by the “Veolia Jur” company was assessed as problematic, after which a consultation was convened with the participation of stakeholder structures. As a result of the discussion, it was decided to overturn that decision.

Within the next two weeks, the Water Committee, the Public Services Regulatory Commission (PSRC), and “Veolia Jur” will carry out additional studies. Based on their results, an improved water supply schedule for 2024 and 2025 will be published.

The Minister noted that in recent years, capital works have been carried out in Yerevan and the provinces (marzes) at a tripled volume, and work continues on modernizing existing infrastructure and increasing the volume of water supplied through new water sources.

Earlier, “Veolia Jur” had announced that at a number of addresses in Yerevan, from May 1 to September 16, water would be supplied for 17 hours a day.
