Tough Matches for First Place: The National Team Prepares for Upcoming Games

Armenia’s national football team will face the Faroe Islands and North Macedonia on October 10 and 13

The team, led by Aleksandr Petrakov, has 3 points after two rounds and is currently in second place in the standings.

Sports commentator and journalist Suren Meliksetyan believes that winning the upcoming matches will give the opportunity to fight for first place, while losing will have the opposite effect.

Aleksandr Petrakov has called up 24 players for the upcoming games. When asked if there were any players who could have been included in the squad, Suren Meliksetyan mentioned that he would have liked to see Valeri Tsarukyan (from Russian club “Nizhny Novgorod”) and Narek Grigoryan (from Romanian club “Farul”) in the national team’s camp.

While North Macedonia is a fairly familiar opponent for us, the national team will face the Faroe Islands for the first time.

The Faroe Islands vs. Armenia match will take place on October 10 at 22:45.
