Gunfire and Explosions in Turkey’s Capital, Ankara
On October 23, explosions and gunfire occurred around the headquarters of Turkish Aerospace Industries in Ankara. This was reported by Turkey’s Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya, who classified the actions as a terrorist attack.
It is also reported that there are injured and deceased as a result of the attack.
Reuters noted that there was an exchange of gunfire and explosions in the area. For security reasons, staff members were evacuated to shelters.
The aerospace center specializes in various air systems and technical components.
