The number of victims due to floods and landslides in Nepal has reached about 215

As a result of the rains that started on September 27 in Nepal, the number of victims has reached 215. Dozens of people are considered missing. Heavy rains have caused floods and landslides, leading to significant destruction not only in the capital, Kathmandu, but also in the surrounding areas.

Due to the heavy rains that continued for 72 hours, 44 of Nepal’s 77 districts have been affected. Communication with a number of districts has been cut off, as bridges and roads have been washed away, and power and telecommunication networks have been disrupted.

Many of the deaths have been recorded in the capital, Kathmandu, where the heaviest rains in half a century have occurred. Hundreds of homes, schools, and hospitals have been damaged, and the southern part of the city continues to be flooded.
