Meghri to Be Recognized as a Cultural City of the CIS
In his speech at the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov mentioned that a separate decision is proposed for the heads of CIS countries to approve a list of cultural cities in the CIS.
Next year, Meghri, Armenia, is set to be recognized as a cultural city in 2026, followed by Molodechno, Belarus, in 2027.
Meghri is located in the Syunik Province, near the Armenian-Iranian state border.
