Over 41,000 Palestinians Killed in Gaza in the Past Year
According to the latest statement from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, over 41,788 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in the past year, with 96,794 others injured.
Official information regarding the total number of Israeli casualties during the war is not available.
The conflict escalated on October 7, 2023, when Hamas launched an attack, with militants infiltrating southern Israel. As a result, within three days, Palestine reported over 700 deaths in the Gaza Strip, while Israel reported more than 800 casualties.
Among the deadliest incidents marking the beginning of the renewed conflict was the attack on the city of Re’im near the Gaza border during the “Supernova” music festival.
The conflict has also led to widespread destruction. Israel has claimed to target Hamas’s military infrastructure, launching attacks on some institutions that have become shelters. Many patients, doctors, and displaced individuals were killed in the Israeli assault on the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza.
