Israel and Hezbollah are carrying out large-scale attacks
The Israel Defense Forces carries out large-scale airstrikes in Lebanon. The strikes are aimed at “Hezbollah” rocket launchers and other places, The Times of Israel reports.
According to the Israeli army, during the night, rockets were launched from Lebanon towards the north of Israel, most of which were intercepted.
The IDF announced earlier that it had destroyed “about 180 locations” with strikes.
Al Jazeera writes that Israel carried out 400 attacks on Lebanon on Saturday, and Hezbollah fired rockets at the Ramat David base near Haifa, the biggest firefight since the war against Gaza began. Israeli media reported that one person was injured in the attack on Ramat David, and three others were injured in later attacks in Kiryat Bialik.
The Wafa news agency also reports that the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRC) brought out the bodies of four victims from the al-Atatirah region east of Rafah in the south of Gaza after the Israeli bombings.
Two more people were killed when they were targeted by artillery shells in the city of Khuza’a, east of Khan Yunis.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health issued a statement saying that the number of victims of an Israeli attack in the south of Beirut on Friday reached 45. More than 60 people were injured in the Dahiya district of the Lebanese capital.
The UN special coordinator for Lebanon, Jeanine Hennis, has warned that the region is on the brink of a war that will lead to “catastrophe”.
There is no military solution that will make either side safer, he said in a short statement released by the United Nations. The Israel Defense Forces carries out large-scale airstrikes in Lebanon. The strikes are aimed at “Hezbollah” rocket launchers and other places, The Times of Israel reports.
