Two Armenians in the new French government
There are two Armenian ministers in the new French government: Astrid Panosyan and Guillaume Gasparyan.
As Le Figaro reports, mentioning the ministers of the new French government, Astrid Panosyan will hold the position of Minister of Labor, and Guillaume Gasparian will hold the position of Minister of Public Service.
Astrid Panosyan’s father is Armenian, mother is Norwegian. He is a graduate of HEC, Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and Harvard Kennedy School of Government in Boston.
A 53-year-old female minister, in 2014–2015 she was an adviser to Emmanuel Macron in the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Digital Technologies, responsible for economic attraction and international investment.
From 2015 to 2022, he was the manager of a large French commercial real estate.
Since 2022, he is a member of the French National Assembly from the 4th constituency of Paris.
Guillaume Gasparyan’s father and mother are Armenian. Gasparyan graduated from ESSEC business school in 2010. Then he worked as a consultant in a Parisian strategy consulting company.
Gasbaryan was elected deputy of the 1st constituency of Aire-et-Loire in 2017.
Since 2017, Gasparyan has worked as a member of the Economic Affairs Committee in the Parliament. he became the chairman of the commission after the 2022 legislative elections. He was also in the parliamentary groups of friendship with Armenia and South Africa.
