The meeting between Alen Simonyan and the Speaker of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly has begun in Geneva
The Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, and the Speaker of Turkey’s Grand National Assembly, Numan Kurtulmus, have met in Geneva. This was reported by the press secretary of the Armenian National Assembly.
Today, the delegation led by Alen Simonyan attended the official opening ceremony of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
A meeting between Alen Simonyan and the Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova, was also scheduled in Geneva. However, the Azerbaijani side declined the meeting at the last moment.
Two days ago, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan met with Kurtulmus in Turkmenistan. They discussed issues related to the opening of the Armenia-Turkey border and diplomatic relations.
