There are red lines that simply cannot be crossed: Mher Grigoryan
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, during a briefing with journalists, spoke about the delimitation processes between Armenia and Azerbaijan, stating that the process is ongoing. He mentioned that Armenia has sent proposals to Azerbaijan regarding the unblocking of regional communications. However, no specific details about the proposals were provided.
Mher Grigoryan reaffirmed that any issues related to the so-called “Zangezur Corridor” proposed by Azerbaijan remain a red line for Armenia.
There are red lines that simply cannot be crossed. Such a thing will simply not happen. We consistently reiterate that the Republic of Armenia is willing and ready for unblocking under very straightforward but dogmatic principles under the principles of sovereignty and jurisdiction.
Regarding new meetings of the delimitation commissions, Mher Grigoryan noted that no agreements have been reached yet. However, he reminded that during the discussions and approval of the regulations, it was agreed that meetings and activities would continue after the regulations came into force.
As for which region the delimitation work will continue in after Tavush, Mher Grigoryan did not provide details. However, he previously stated that Tavush has been the most challenging area for them in the delimitation process.
The last meeting between the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan took place on November 1, 2024, at the border of the two countries.
