“When I become president, I will restore peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan”: Donald Trump
On October 24, Donald Trump addressed the forced displacement of Armenians from Artsakh on his Truth platform and blamed Kamala Harris for doing nothing.
Kamala Harris did NOTHING when 120,000 Armenian Christians were subjected to horrific persecution and forcibly displaced from Artsakh. Christians around the world will not be safe if Kamala Harris becomes the president of the United States. When I am president, I will protect persecuted Christians, work to stop violence and ethnic cleansing, and we will restore peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Trump wrote.
This is not Trump’s first statement regarding achieving peace in the world. Previously, he had mentioned that immediately upon becoming president, he would resolve the war between Russia and Ukraine and prevent the outbreak of World War III.
During Trump’s presidency, from 2017 to 2021, his administration did not officially recognize the Armenian Genocide, despite the fact that both chambers of the U.S. Congress had passed resolutions recognizing it.
