“First buildings in the ‘Academic City’ will be completed by 2029,” says Zhanna Andreasyan

The construction work for the Academic City began last year after the government approved the concept of the ‘Academic City.’ This was announced by the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, during the Q&A session in the National Assembly. She noted that a contract has already been signed for the city management model, and a transportation project has also been developed and contracted.

In the first phase, it is planned to relocate educational, technological, arts, and military institutions, while in the second phase, classical and medical universities will be moved.

It is also planned to create cultural multifunctional complexes, residential areas, railway stations, and sports arenas within the ‘Academic City.’
