World Armenian Summit to be held in Armenia
On September 17-20, the second World Armenian Summit will be held in Armenia. The main topic of discussions is to address the current challenges and problems of Armenia and the Diaspora, as well as opportunities for sustainable development. The summit will feature panel discussions, roundtable meetings, simultaneous work sessions, master classes, exhibitions and cultural events.
Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zare Sinanian emphasized unity and noted that it plays a big role in overcoming the current challenges.
The Diaspora and homeland need new opportunities and ways to interact and be inclusive. Armenia in the Diaspora and the Diaspora in Armenia should become topics on the agenda, participating to the maximum extent possible in all processes of the development of the pan-Armenian reality. On the way to creating this joint work and bilateral responsibility, the two nodes of the Armenian reality – the Armenian state and the Armenian Diaspora – need new and dynamic platforms for dialog and cooperation.
The summit will be attended by nearly 1,000 representatives of the Diaspora and Armenia. The event was organized by the Office of the RA Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs.
The first summit was held in 2022. The Armenia-Diaspora case study was developed based on it.
