The Armenian women’s team was 5th in the World Chess Olympiad

The 45th World Chess Olympiad ended, where the Armenian women’s team finished the competition, taking the 5th place.

The Armenian national team competed against Germany in the last round. Thanks to Lilit Mkrtchyan and Elina Danielyan’s victories and Mariam Mkrtchyan’s and Anna Sargsyan’s draws, the Armenian national team won 3:1.

Armenia scored 17 points, celebrating 7 victories, recording 3 draws and suffering 1 defeat. The Indian team was declared the champion, the second was Kazakhstan, the third was the USA
